Call for Scott Murphy Memorial Lecture Applications

Established in 2007, the Scott Murphy Memorial Lecture honors the tremendous contributions of the late Dr. Scott Murphy, a past chair of the BEST Collaborative, to the field of transfusion medicine and platelet storage science.

We highly encourage junior faculty involved in the broadly understood field of transfusion medicine to apply for this unique award. The recipient will be invited to present their lecture at the upcoming BEST LXXII Meeting in Atlanta, GA, USA (October 14–15, 2026), attend the full meeting, and network with our international members.

The presentation should be a maximum of 30 minutes, followed by a 10–15 minute Q&A session. BEST will provide a $500 honorarium and a travel stipend of up to $1000 to cover expenses for the meeting.
